Publisher’s Welcome

Welcome to the website of Creature Companion Magazine, a bi-monthly published by L.B. Associates (Pvt) Ltd of Noida, India. The magazine was launched in mid-2004. After five successful editions we decided to go global in August of 2005 with this website.

Creature Companions and its team are committed to focusing on the protection, health and welfare of companion animals through the publishing of informative articles. The magazine reviews some of the main issues surrounding companion animals. It examines their special place in the modern world and explains the important role they play.

The term ‘Creature Companions’ when used in this magazine embraces more than just household pets. It includes a wide range of large and small animals, as well as birds and fish. Domesticated elephants, for instance, are also companions to the mahout. Our definition does not include animals produced commercially for food, racing, laboratory research, or those that are reared primarily for commercial, scientific or educational purposes, because these don’t fall into the category of companion animal.

Creature Companions magazine is targeted towards pet owners and therefore focuses on content that addresses the complexities of pet ownership. While we do believe that all animals have the right to coexist on this planet alongside the human species, we do not focus heavily on ‘animal rights.’ Similarly, while the protection of wildlife is near and dear to our hearts, we don’t concentrate on this issue. We leave both of these noble causes to other organizations. Our magazine is related to pets, hence the name Creature Companions.

I invite you now to take advantage of the buttons beside this message to discover more about Creature Companions magazine and other related topics.
