I AM HOME
A treasured friend is gone today,
He went where he could play.
Although I miss him everyday,
His pain has gone away.
My best friend he will always be,
Now he is watching over me.
The toys he once loved,
Are now overflowing above.
The walks we used to take,
Are now at his own pace.
My love for him will never fade,
What memories we have made.
I know you will always be with me,
For I can feel you next to me.
This is not the end,
For I will see you again.
Until I do, I trust God in looking after you.

THE BOXER DOG POEM
If your doggy chases flies,
And gives those heavy sighs.
With soulful eyes he views you quietly,
Before making you laugh out loudly.
If he jumps high in the air,
And falls with a thud without a care.
If his faith in you is unerring,
No matter what is occurring.
If he loves you like a child,
And is some times just as wild.
He sits with you and whines and cries,
When he sees tears in your eyes.
If he does all kinds of funny things,
And to your life laughter he brings.
You are the proud owner of a canine clown,
With a boxer dog you'll never frown!

A View of A Cat
Sleep on your bed,
Making it my own,
and when you are away,
I’m at home all alone.
I walk around the food bowl,
sniffing out what’s there,
and if there’s nothing good,
I look at you and stare.
I curl up near the fire place
warming up my paws,
I pounce upon the scratch post,
sharpening my claws.
I see a mouse in front
staring straight at me,
I run and try to catch it
but it runs away from thee.
You see I am so cute,
so gorgeous with my fur,
when you stroke my head
I close my eyes and purr.
